World Teachers’ Day 2019

Oct 2019

To mark UNESCO’s World Teachers’ Day on Saturday, 5 October 2019 the Department for Education is encouraging teachers  and leaders across the country to share their stories about what makes them Proud To Teach.

On Friday, 4 October, through to Monday, 7 October, we’d like teachers and leaders from across the education sector to get involved by sharing an image or video that sums up what makes them proud to teach, using #ProudToTeach.

Your support is invaluable to create a really positive celebration of teachers to mark this year’s World Teachers’ Day.

We would very much appreciate your help spreading the message about #ProudToTeach by:

  • Sharing DfE’s social media content and creating your own content relevant to your audiences, using #ProudToTeach to        share on your organisation’s channels.

This toolkit contains a selection of DfE social media templates that can be used to share photos as part of the campaign –please do feel free to use these and share with your members to use with any of their posts.

The Department for Education will be sharing content using #ProudToTeach from Friday, 4 October to Monday, 7 October,

via the below channels:

Social Media Tools:
Please see below a link to our social media pack, this includes a template to use on any photos you’d like to post and links to change your organisation’s Twitter or Facebook profile photos to show support this World Teachers’ Day.
